Currently the 3rd base coach of the Cardinals. Probably will be seriously considered for Manager when LaRussa retires. Nicknamed “the Secret Weapon”, he played all 9 field positions in a season at least one year, maybe two before becoming the starting 2nd baseman for the Cards. Signed by the Mets at age 15.
