Card Background: When I sent this card out, I was a relatively newbie to the world of TTM autographs. This was my very first card sent out. I had watched Mark roll up a 21-8/3.45/1.16 and finished 2nd in the Cy Young race to Roger Clemens. I really didn’t know if he would even sign for me. Actually I wasn’t expecting him to sign it. In the end though, only 14 days later, I got the most meanigful autograph in my collection at the time. Mark has a lot of miles on his arm and shoulder, and finally it’s starting to show. Since 2002 he racked up 19, 15, 17, and 16 wins in the next 4 years. Unfortunately for now, his career has been derailed. He really hasn’t pitched in almost 2 years and even when he was pitching 2 years ago, he had tired arm. I don’t know what the future holds for Mark, but I know he made me happy when I got his autograph 6 years ago.
