Why go after this autograph: As I have said before, I am a huge Seattle Seahawks fan. I think I started rooting for them in 1982. Of course Jim Zorn was the first reason I liked the team, but I also liked Largent. As the seasons progressed, I realized that Largent meant more to those Seahawks teams than any other player (maybe except Warner). I knew that if Largent had a good day, the Seahawks usually won. Although I don’t find his politics to my liking (extraordinarily conservative), I still found it a treat when I got this autograph back in the mail. He is no longer in politics. He retired in 2002, but now works as the CEO of a lobbyist firm for the wireless phone industry. I have no idea why he signed the card 90 degrees off, which is weird. The only thing I can think of is that he had a stack of cards to sign and this was mid way through the pile. I might try again next year to see if he can sign it right.
