Why go after this autograph: I WAS a huge James Lofton fan. However when I got this fantastic signature back, I just had to bail on the idea of being a fan. Here is what I don’t understand, he doesn’t even look at his mail, he doesn’t even read what he is sending out. If you carefully read this flier, apparently I am supposed to proDIVE the items for the pro to sign. At least when Alworth sent back a letter that was a photocopy of his signature. I don’t even know if this All Star Prographs is even legit. I can’t find them on the web anywhere.
Any Current Certified Autographs Available: There are a few of his autographs available, but only one card has any bids on it. A search of completed items, tells me that I could get his autograph for about $3 – $7. Including the following cards (none sold for more than $4):

I’ve been a big Lofton fan since 1980 and sent him several autograph requests over the years and almost always have gotten a positive response–including a personal letter adn game worn wristband. Although I haven’t sent anything to be signed for quite awhile. Historically, though, he have been a great signer for me.
I would note that the address you list may be outdated since he now works for the Raiders–I would retry sending it in care of the Raiders. As long as Al allows his assistant coaches to get mail, I bet youmay have more success.
