Why go after this autograph: How old is Jamie Moyer? He was pitching in the big leagues back when I first got back into collecting cards (1986). He has been in the bigs for 22 seasons and to be completely honest, as long as he is willing to pitch, there is no reason for him to retire. This season he had one of his best seasons and that speaks volumes being he is 45 this year. This year he was 16-7/3.71/1.33, and he was the most consistent pitcher on the staff along with Cole Hammels. He has the effectiveness of Greg Maddux with the durability of Nolan Ryan. Since 1996 (12 years ago) he has won more than 13 games 10 times. He has only had one losing season in those 12 years. In the top 10 most similar players, two were Hall of Famers. I don’t think he will be a HOF member, but he does have 246 wins and if he manages to pitch for 3 more years, he could be as close as 280 wins and that would at least get him some votes. The problem is that he is a top ten guy in 2 very unflattering categories, home runs allowed and RBIs allowed. I think that will do him in. In the end though, he is one of my favorite pitchers and as far as I’m concerned was a must have in my collection.
Any Current Certified Autographs Available: There are a few of his autographs available, most are going from $3- $6. Below are a few examples:

Jamie Moyer is also very good about signing autographs at games. On nights that he is not pitching he will walk the length of the rightfield stands from the edge of the dugout to the foul pole and sign for everyone waiting. Great guy and very good assett for the Phils.
