Why this Card?: I have been talking about Carlos all season and he has really been tearing it up. This season he should be in the running for MVP with the great numbers he put up and the fact that he played a big role in the Sox making it to the post season. I decided I wanted a nice autograph of him and I really think I hit the proverbial home run with this card. It’s very nice looking and it’s an on card autograph to boot. I think the change of scenery as well as his maturity helped him move up to the next level. Now the next question is, can he continue to be the guy that the Sox can fall back on when they need someone to come up big, that would move him up to the level that would put him on par with the likes of Howard,Pujols, Berkman, ect . . . It should be interesting if he can do it. Guess we will find out next season.
But What About the Set?: 2007 Ultimate baseball hobby box runs around $170 + and for good reason, you get 12 autos or memorabilia cards per box including 3 in each pack. The configuration is 4 packs with 4 cards each in the box. There are some beautiful cards in the set and if you have the money it’s definitely worth it. It’s not too often you find 3 autos / memorabilia cards per pack.
Beckett’s Value: $15.00, but it’s been going up.
eBay Value: I got it for $2.50
