As you all know my wife has begun the task of trying to collect the whole O-Pee-Chee base and SP set (600 cards). The blasters that are sold at Target come with 78 cards but 7 are parallels and 6 more on average are rainbow inserts. Well on back to back trips to Target, the only place in the Triangle that has any hockey wax to break, we had two nice pulls. And by we I mean my wife, because as far as this blog is concerned I have the worst luck in getting hits from packs. So I present to you our TOJO (Target Mojo):

This subset falls in at 1:216 packs. I am curious did the switch the Kariya and Selanne jerseys (UER)? Or are they just using the Kariya Nashville jersey? If so that is very lazy on UD’s part.

This subset falls at a rate of 1:1080 packs. It’s the buy back version of a 2007 O-Pee-Chee Jaroslav Halak rookie card (SP). Unfortunately he is second fiddle to Carey Price, but as a Canadien this has some nice secondary market value. Having never seen or really understanding what a buy back autograph was, it was nice to figure out all in one shot with just this card.
My wife has some serious luck when going after this set, she has pulled quite a few valuable cards. I think she has to break boxes around the chemgod household from now on!

Nice hits. I am always amazed when I someone gets a nice pull from retail packs/blasters.

that Kariya jersey is from his Anaheim days….
and that auto is Sweeet! that’s my team, and yes, he is behind Price. But he will be traded in a year… he’s too good to stay on the bench.

I bought one blaster and pulled a Kovalchuk (and two scrubs) Triple myself! Though I’d rather pull the Halak.
