Player: Will Clark
Set: 1986 Fleer Update , Topps Traded and Donruss The Rookies
Card Number: 25, 32 and 56 respectively
Why is These Cards are Must Have?: Will was honestly one of my favorite players growing up, and one of the many 1986 rookies who got me back into collecting after a 3 year hiatus. Although he wasn’t your typical power hitting first baseman, however he was rock steady as far as his year to year stats. An average year for him was about 0.302/17/85. He was a perfect guy to have in the 3 slot. Someone who could hit for average and have a little pop every now and then. He finished with a career 0.303 average , just shy of 2200 hits. He was a 6 time All Star, won the 1989 NLCS MVP, and has two Silver Slugger awards. Although his name was dropped from the Hall of Fame ballot after the 2006 ballot, he will still be remembered as one of the more popular players to ever play the game. Was there anyone as intense as he was on the field? Eyeblack and all?
On a Scale of 1 to 10, How Must Have Are These Cards?: A 5, he was such a fiery and intense player, but in the grand scheme of all of baseball you have to have perspective and that’s why I gave him a 5. In the world of above average players he is right in the middle of the bell curve. You can find these card for no more than $1 on eBay.

As a player collector of The Thrill, it’s nice to see good stuff coming out yearly. But chasing down those oddball cards from the late 80s is what is truly fun.
I have a baseball sighned by will clark,i need to know if it is worth any money
depends on how you want to sell it. If you sell it as is, it’s probably worth around $8-$10 on ebay. If you get the autograph certified by a company like PSA or JSA, then it’s worth significantly more (maybe in the $40-$50 region which is conservative). Do your homework and check ebay for current pricing.
