I will open up the entire box, then give away the hits and base cards through drawings. Enter each Monday starting 3/23/09 to win cards. I will post and sticky it when the contest opens. Hopefully we can land some great cards for the give away. So with that let’sopen up our first pack of cards. First off the box is numbered 379 of 1800,printed in gold foil on the front of the box. A nice touch to a very limited product. The box on ebay runs about $75 – $80 making each pack worth about $4.
First pack:
Bryce Stowell – 34 – Cleveland – 2008 – 22nd round – Peperdine – Has not played yet, but in 2008 at Peperdine he was 8-3 with 101 strikouts.
Travis Adair -7 – Atlanta – 2008 – 13th round – Cleveland State CC – Pro Debut card – Played for GCL Braves last year and went 0.289/0/20/10 in just 197 at bats. Not a bad start.
Layton Hiller – 6 – Atlanta – 2008 15th round – Binn Jr College – Pro Debut card - In just 133 at bats he went 0.203/5/18/1. Even though it was the GCL Braves, still 5 homers in 133 at bats is good. Let’s see what he can do in low A this year.
Brett Wallace – Tailor Made Jersey – #d 4/144 – The all white jersey kind of sucks but, the fact it’s Brett Wallace is fantastic. He should be the first to become a starter in the majors hopefully by mid year. He was outstanding in college, and should translate to at a minimum a 0.285/25/80 kind of player in the pros soon enough. This will make for a nice giveaway next Monday.

Overall nice pack, the bit hit is the Wallace as you could guess so I’ll rate this pack a 4 out of 5 mainly for the Wallace hit, but the Adair card was solid as well. Nice cards, they are heavy glossy stock. Keep track of who you want to try and win. Tomorrow will be pack two review.

This is a great product, especially for us autograph hounds. I can’t wait to see the breaks.
