Player’s Name: Will “The Thrill” Clark

Player’s Current Team: Retired (Played for Giants, Rangers, and Orioles)

Player’s Current Address: 36170 Pleasent Hill Ct., Prairieville, LA, 70769

Date Sent out: 3/10/09

Date Returned: 4/11/09  (31 days)

Why go after this autograph: Like many of the readers of this blog, I grew up watching Will from when he broke into the majors until he retired in 2000.  He was one of my all time favorite players.  His 162 game average was 0.303/23/99, which when you think of it is a fantastic average.  He will always remain a Giants and Rangers fan favorite.  He finished his career with a stat line of 0.303/284/1205 with 2176 hits.  Not enough for the Hall of Fame, but in all our hearts he is in the Hall of Very Good.

Any Current Certified Autographs Available: There are plenty of them out there, since he was playing when lots of autographs were issued.  Below are a couple examples, which you can find on eBay for between $15 – $45.  It’s nice that he signs for free through the mail.

Will Clark’s autograph is awesome! I remember going to a local card show in the 80′s where he was signing autographs. I think it was free, but they might have charged a few bucks. Anyways, he signed his 86 Topps Traded card for me and I just took it out for the first time in years. Amazingly, his autograph hasn’t really changed in all of these years. The autograph he gave you looks just like mine.

Send a self addressed stamped envelope with a card and a letter, and in a few weeks you should get it back signed. He is very nice and very quick.

Will Clark is my all-time favorite player. As a kid in the late 80′s I used to follow him. My first game was at candlestick watching Will Clark and the Giants take on Ozzy Smith and the cards. The game has moved on, and I have picked up new players, but Clark will always be my favorite.

This address totally works. I sent request on 3/20/10 and I actually recieved Will’s autograph back in two weeks. It is great and I am going to get it framed. I sent him a picture of me and him and I signed one for him and he signed one for me…..
