Pack one was kind of a dud, but take a look at pack number 2:
At first glance I thought that the Tailor Made card was just a pinstripe,but as I look more closely, it appears that this is actually a small patch. The card is numbered to 144 copies and I will be giving it away on my blog soon, so keep an eye open for it.
Cedric Hunter is one of those prospects that can sneak up on you. Last year he went 0.318/11/84/12 in high A ball. This year in AA he is still trying to get going as he is hitting 0.250/0/12/1. Let’s see how he finishes this year before passing judgement.
Pat Venditte is going to be the Yankees closer of the future. Last year for short season Staten Island he saved 28 games with a 0.83 ERA and 0.70 WHIP, striking out 42 in 32 innings. This year so far in Charlseton he has saved 12 games with a 0.95 ERA and a 0.84 WHIP, while striking out 28 in 19 innings.
Bryan Peterson is a long term prospect in the Red Sox organization. Last season as an 18 year old he went 0.277/1/24/7 in a shade under 200 at bats. Looks like it is more of the GCL this season as well since he hasn’t played oas of yet this year.
Jordan Lyles is a starting pitcher in the Astros farm system. Although he is not lighting it up record wise, he has some very good secondary stats. Last season he went 3-3/4.23/1.23 for rookie and low A ball. This season he started in low A Lexington and thus far has gone 1-4/3.19/1.18 in 8 starts. Getting this as a patch card is pretty cool. Like I said this is numbered to 144 and I will be giving it away.
Pack Rating is a 4.0/5.0 because the patch card is definitely a plus and two of the three players are going to be in the pros at some point.

Venditte will likely be remembered more for the fact that he’s a switch pitcher (google him for videos!) than is pitching prowess. I don’t think he’s regarded as much of a prospect, though.
But what do I know? Wouldn’t the first time I’ve been grossly wrong about a prospect!
Nice patch. I’m also a Cedric Hunter fan, so it’s nice to see him in this set.
