Just a quick update, we had three first round signings today:
Pirates – Tony Sanchez – C – Tony inked his deal yesterday, he will be sent to a mini camp in Florida, but then should end up with the West Virginia Power of the SAL. He should be their everyday catcher. His deal is believed to be worth $2.5 million and becomes the next former ACC standout catcher to grind his path to the majors.
Brewers – Eric Arnett - P – Eric was among 20 players (5 of their top 10 draft picks) to ink deals over the weekend. He had a full workload for the University of Indiana this year, where he went 12-2/2.50 with 6 complete games and tied the single season school record for strikeouts with 109. His deal is believed to be worth between $1.2 – $1.3 million. He will begin his career in Helena, Mt. sometime next week. Don’t expect many innings from his this summer.
Nationals – Drew Storen – P -Drew was signed today for $1.5 million. He was a standout closer for the Stanford Cardinal last season, going 7-1/3.80 with 7 saves. He is expected to get to the majors rather quickly. I wouldn’t be surprised if they expect him in DC by the middle of next season. He is slated to start his career in Hagerstown on Wednesday.
Other Key Signings:
Nationals – Trevor Holder – P – Trevor was a standout for the University of Georgia and although he was slotted to go in rounds 4-10 he was selected in the 3rd round. He inked a $200,000 deal and is off to Vermont to start his major league career.
That is all I have to report for now. I will list more as I find them good luck with your TTMs if you are getting them out.

From what I understand the Phils signed their first pick, Kelly Dugan. He is a 2nd rounder but was their first pick. He has an interesting personal background – he is the son of a Movie Producer who made a couple of Adam Sandler Movies.
You are right and I missed that one, nice find.
His father is Dennis who played Richie Brockelman in a TV series in the late 70′s and is now directing.
Rex Brothers is signed. He’s reported to Tri City!
Playball Academy’s Montaous Walton has Signed Already supposedly and should be heading to Advanced Rookie ball,
he Reportedly Signed as an undrafted Free Agent.
Thats awesome for Montaous,he should have got picked somewhere in the middle rounds, but i heard that minnesota and cleveland, Even Toronto was high on signing him to a deal
i wonder which one did he Sign with?
wait a minute was he considered one of the quickest prospects in this draft?, anyway overall this year’s draft was great i really cant wait to see how Strasburg is gonna do and how he may turn out. the Nationals are going to Rock when Strasburg actually Pitch for them.
