I’m sure to get a cease and desist on this one, but I’m not out to make money on this, just thought it would be cool to come up with some custom cards for this year’s first round draft picks. So what I am going to do is start with the first pick and release a new one each day until I finish the set (or I get a threatening letter from Topps). I used to 1971 Topps design as my basis, but switched it around a little. I even came up with a back to the card (complete with a cardboard texture). So I present to you card number 4 of the first 40 picks. I will also create one for the NFL and NHL (after the draft is done). If anyone has any ideas on what to print this out on I know there are a lot of people out there that would be excited to hear about it.

I like the template, but hey I always liked the 71 Topps set. My fav. is def. the Thurman Munson. Its by far his best base card. Also I like how you are making the 1st rounders a lot of which don’t have cards or contracts yet. Now there are USA UD Strasburg cards and there is a T.Matzek Aflac card (grab that one if you can) and there are a few others but I hate when a draft pick does something like what Tim Beckham did by signing exclusively with Razor?!? I mean what was he thinking? He must have known that some kids/adults(me LOL) that would want his card would never get a chance to even get a pack of Razor and I haven’t seen any blaster boxes at the retail stores. Now I do like the whole Razor Chrome thing and I bought a Beckham auto in the blue version but why sign with one company unless it was only for the fast money? I hope that some of this years top of the draft don’t make that same choice.. and until then we can always make our own!
