So far we are up to the fifth player.  I decided to focus on players who have signed first.   So I present to you card number 24 of the first 40 picks.  I will also create one for the NFL and NHL (after the draft is done).  I have been printing these out on cover stock 68lb matte finish with an inkjet.  Not too bad when they come out.  I even have the word template for printing out so that the front lays on top of the back when printing out.  Randall Grichuk is an absolute hitting machine, 34 homers in the past 2 seasons in high school.  The Angels have a player who has the potential to be a heck of a power hitter in time.

If you want the template, just email me.  Also if you want the full sized images email me as well.  At this point I’m not going to make changes unless there is a spelling error, which could have happened since it’s me we are talking about.

I think you did a really good job with it – front and back.. But there’s just one thing I would have done differently.. I don’t really like the “First Round Draft Pick” written out like that vertically.. Personally, I think a little logo would look great, maybe in the lower left of the card..

Remember how Topps and Score would have a different logo each year for the Draft Picks? I was an avid collector from ’88 – ’93, and I used to love how they’d have a different design each year.. Just off the top of my head, I thought the Draft Pick logos for ’89 Topps or ’90 Score were pretty cool.

I like what you did with the topps and score logos. I just wanted something different. I really like how the backs came out, but in future released sets, I am going to go with a white back (easier for logos). Also I am going to play around with the buttons more and come up with a 1st round draft pick logo.

Just messing around, I threw the Draft Pick logos from ’89 Topps and ’90 Score into the image.. Not everyone would like it obviously, but it’s personal nostalgia I have from my days of collecting, and my love for the Draft Pick cards, lol..

I’m not sure how to add images to the blog, so I uploaded it to yousendit, and made the link smaller thru tinyurl, so just follow this link to download the image.
