Although it is not written in the books that he is a first round flop, one thing is for sure, he has been caught three times, doing drugs, and seems to be on the same path as Josh Hamilton, but he might not be able to turn his career around like Josh did. If he gets caught one more time, it’ll be the 150 game suspension and then one more and he is out of baseball. As it stands now, he will miss the rest of 2009 and in 2010 the Brewers will have to add him to their 40 man roster or risk losing him to the rule 5 draft. Thanat puts the Brewers in a rough situation.
So I decided to make a card for him and sum up his flop status on the back of the card.

Everyone here in Milwaukee is just stunned about this. I mean, a Brewers first round draft choice pitcher who has not yet hadarm surgery? It’s amazing!
HA! I was going to do a post on J.M Gold too, another Brewer first rounder who had some issues.
JM Gold, Mark Rogers, Mike Jones, Kyle Peterson, Kelly Wunsch, Jeff D’Amico, Tyrone Hill…
And that’s just pitchers. You could also check out Antone Williamson, Dave Krynzel, Chad Green, Kenny Felder…
Thank god for Braunie and Prince.
D’Amico wasn’t horrible and defnitely was the best of the bunch. I remember GOld because he grew up about 30 miles from where I grew up.
He isnt a bust yet…………….how can you count him as a bust already?
He won’t play the rest of this year, he hasn’t pitched like a first rounder since he turned pro. He will probably not break his recreational drug habbit. I labeled him a bust because by the end of next year he might be in the independents.
Yeah, as a Brewer fan I was pretty upset about Jeffress when I heard about it. Although, I think he only gets one more fail and he’s out for good. Oh well, at least Rogers is throwing again.
What do yo mean about recreational drugs? Did he piss hot for amphetamines? I didn’t think that they suspended players for smoking weed.
The MiLB has a zero tolerance for any drug policy. So yes if he tests positive for chronic, he’s getting suspended.
