Why go after this autograph: I started to get jazzed about Patrick when I learned that he is the only North Carolina born player to ever make it to the NHL. I have followed his career for the past few years and see him as a rising star in the league. The Kings were a perfect fit for him. When I had seen that he was dealt to the Hurricanes at the trading deadline I was psyched because this was definitely a good fit for him feeding Staal with shots on goal. Then I saw then next line which traded him to the Oilers for Erik Cole, I was definitely a little pissed. Oh well, I hope at some point he ends up in his home state playing with the Canes. Until then I will continue to root for him. On a side note, I hate that he used two pens to sign (one that went dead mid signature and the fat sharpie). However I still love this signature.
