I am actually not too far off from finishing this set. As I get sloser to the end I think I might do an update at the end of the season for the stars of this season’s crop. I just finished sending out the first wave of through the mail requests and I will post about them as I get them back. Today’s featured card is of Jared Mitchell. Jared is a speedy outfielder / wide receiver from LSU. He has all the tools to become a five tool player in this league, but from the scouting reports he seems to be a few years away from the show. A very smart pick up by the Southsiders.

I hope Steve from White Sox cards enjoys this one. Please let us know if you know Jared or have ever seen him play. Leave a comment about what kind of pro you think he will deveop into.

That’s a great looking card of Jared! He just recently signed with the Sox, so I haven’t been able to see any video of him in the Sox system yet. What I have seen, I’ve been impressed. He has the raw talent to eventually become a five tool player. Your summary on the back of the card is perfect.
Depending on how he adjusts to each level of the minors will determine how fast he comes up. His patience at the plate bodes well for him in the Sox system. I don’t expect a Gordon Beckham type rise through the organization, but I would look for him no later than 2012. The last thing the White Sox want to do is bring him up too soon, or they will have a Brian Anderson situation on their hands.

Great looking card. Ive seen him play at Alex Box and met him at a small signing one night and got some autographs.Great guy.I dont think he will spend long in the minors.Yea he has some things to learn but he has so much talent and athletism you cant keep him down for to long.
