Ok is everyone up for a rousing game of is it real? These are all real eBay auctions, I’ll give my opinion and I’m curious about yours. First up, we have this “sick piece of Eagles logo patch . . . “:

Real or Fake?: I’m pretty sure it’s fake, but better than most.
Why?: The logo is just too perfect, even though there seems to be some jersey attached, I’m just not buying it. The fake patches are getting better and better.

Next up is this beauty currently sitting at $3000 and is touted as “the best Matt Ryan rookie card”:

Real or Fake?: Autograph is real, but the patch is fake.
Why?: Card is blurry (number one tip off), then no jersey attached to the logo, finally, guy shows two other auctions of similar cards and they are very sharp photos, and also have jersey attached to the logo. Guy says card is PSA 7 or better, but it is not graded or if it is, he cropped out the grade.
What do you think?

Why?: Seller says it’s a true 1/1, even though there is no picture of the numbering of the card. Next it’s one patch that was cut three times, it’s very obvious to me, why isn’t it obvious to this knucklehead? Finally, you want 2500 for the card? Let’s see the back of it. Uh uh! Getting these three perfect logos is like hitting the progressive jackpot at an Indian casino, it just doesn’t happen.

Why?: I’m calling this one real for a few reasons. First, the guy has a good rating, next there is jersey attached to the patch, although it is slight, it is there and it is the kind of jersey they wear at non football events (event worn). It is from Exquisite so if there is going to be a patch this good, it would come from that product line. If you can prove otherwise I am all ears.

Sorry couldn’t resist…..hmmm does Pam Anderson have a patch card in Donruss Americana?
The MVP hockey and the Eagles patch are definitely fake in my opinion. The Eagles card says its a “Freshman Fabric”. It doesn’t say its a Freshman Patch, therefore in my opinion, its a regular jersey card that has been doctored. Getting a triple patch card out of MVP would be a pull of a lifetime if it existed. Getting such a pull from such a low-end product is highly unlikely. The other two are real in my opinion, but Matt Ryan’s card is a bit suspicious just because of the PSA grade. It looks like its in a screwdown holder to me.
Hey, the Ryan’s fuzzy because of the Ultra Pro Magnetic Case. My Scanner has the same problem, and never scans them correctly. The card’s still fake though.
Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I don’t think the MVP brand has ever had patches let alone three patches in one!
The MVP patch is fake all the way. Like dave H stated, there were no patches in that product. The seller took a card that sells pretty well if un-altered and destroyed it.
