Why this Card?: At first glance you might think that this is a fake patch. However there is jersey attached to the logo and indeed for these cards Reebok logos were used. Plus it’s an on card auto, how great is that? As for the player, he was a rookie last year and played in 73 games. He scored 15 goals and had 16 assists for 31 points. He is part of the youth movement in Toronto, and will fit in nicely on the 2nd or 3rd line.
But What About the Set?: 2008/09 Ultimate boxes run about 120 bucks. They contain 1 pack with 4 cards per pack. You get one autograph, rookie card, and memorabilia card per box. Every 4th box has a patch. This card was actually a case hit. At $60 a hit it is not really worth the money, buy the hits on eBay.
Beckett’s Value: No price due to scarcity.
eBay Value: I’ve only seen one other one and it went for $45.
