I find your take interesting but somewhat slanted. As a Blue Jackets fan, there are many things to love about Filatov; but you have neglected many key facts regarding his role on the team. Filatov has shown very little interest in playing defense or even honing his game to become a more complete player. Ken Hitchcock and Scott Howson have done a fabulous job of transforming this team with blue collar players and brilliant young talent. Brassard, Voracek and even the less talented forwards Jared Boll and Derrick Dorsett (as well as D Kris Russell) have adapted to Hitch's coaching and are eagerly becoming more complete players. Filatov has consistently prided himself as an elite talent without putting in the effort of his teammates. That is the reason he has been a healthy scratch 5 times this year. I think Filatov can work out well for the Jackets if he commits to Hitchcock's philosophy. If he doesn't commit, he still holds great trade value.
