Winchester Speedway Season Opener Postponed Until May 15th and 16th
Winchester, IN (April 30, 2010) – Winchester Speedway and CRA officials have announced that the season opening event scheduled for this weekend has been postponed because of weather. The current forecast is for 70% chance of rain on Saturday, going up to 90% on Sunday with an expected total of 2 to 3 inches of rain Saturday night into Sunday. The event has been rescheduled for Saturday May 15th and Sunday, May 16th with the same format and schedule that was suppose to take place this weekend.
There will be an open practice on Saturday, May 15th, pits open at 11am, practice will run from 1pm until 5pm. Pit gates will open on Sunday, May 16th at 8:30am, spectator gates at 10am with practice beginning at 10:30am. Qualifying will follow at 12:15pm. The race program will begin at 2pm with heat races from the Vores Welding & Steel CRA FWD Compacts and CRA Street Stocks followed by the Manning Service 100 for the CRA Super Series late models, the Vores Welding & Steel 20 for the Vores Welding & Steel CRA FWD Compacts and the MAX 40 for the CRA Street Stocks. -Wally Backman wil be appearing at MCU stadium in brooklyn. MCU stadium is formerly Keyspan Park and is located @ W 17th and surf Avenue in Brooklyn NY. The signing is taking place from 9am till 12pm
