Those came out very well and you selected some great players to make the cards with.
Baseball- You kept the baseball card design simple, a great call because the focus is now on the cut signatures.Nice choice of player pictures and the font works. I think the only suggestion I have is consider shifting “Baseball Icons” to the right a bit to center between the cut sigs. It balances the hierarchy.I know centering overall is normally a good decision but with the images and names/nicknames along the left side it becomes unbalanced.
Hockey- This card is just bad ass, I liked that you used the ice surface as the card background. It really adds to the overall theme.
You had me there for a second. I was almost convinced that you actually cut up two auto 8×10′s of the Mick and Ted and then another card that was signed by Bobby Orr. I couldn’t believe anyone would have the guts to do it.
Anyway, I think the design looks great for both cards. My only thing would be to somehow tone down the blue color on the baseball one. It still looks good but very “in your face” with that color. I love the Bobby Orr card.
Very impressive. Have you thought about adding something to the background? Something like 2000 Upper Deck Game Jersey or 2001 Fleer Genuine Final Cuts. Also, making the names bigger and removing the nicknames.
I thought about a background picture and felt that give the two cut aways it would be too much to look at. I think I might go with same team players and maybe have pinstripes for the Yankees or the green monster for Boston (ect.) I am in agreement with the Nicknames though, at first I thought they were pretty cool, now I am not so sure.
real autographs?
No but that is next I have both of the autographs;

Thanks for the comments, I always welcome ways to improve cards. I picked players who’s autographs I would normally never be able to afford.
