This is something that Chris Coghlan has to answer:
So when is Topps going to make a card of this? Are 2nd year players even allowed to do the pie in the face gag? I mean isn’t that a vet thing? I hardly consider Coghlan a vet, he is a year removed from the being the weakest Rookie of the Year since Walt Weiss. When are players just going to quit the celebration (or frustration) antics.
Instead Marlin fans are pissed, they lose the player that was probably going to take over Uggla’s spot permanently once Dan got traded. Instead the Marlins are in a pickle, they lost a big cog in their team. The kind of injury he had is bad. Anything torn around the knee is cross your fingers and pray time.
This could take away his range and his speed. It would turn him into a one dimensional player. All for a chance to appear on a short print baseball card. His card values have taken a hit over not only this but his unproductive season, autographed cards can be had for between $1-$4 and almost none of his higher end cards have been selling. I mean who wants to pay $40-50 for a gimp.
Instead let’s all be tools and buy the short print pie in the face cards for $10 – $30 each!

This injury does not sound good – I still like Topps short printed variation cards though
Ok, Transplanted NYer livin in South Fl, 22 year Yankee partial season ticket holder, with 22 year active been to Yankees Opening Day…the pie is a Yankee AJ Burnett deal, what steal everything that the Yankees do??? Went to Marlins/Nats game to see Strasburg pitch, the Fish Tank seats, the 3 sections 700 feet from homeplate, start playing Yankee “Bleacher Creature” and do the starting line up roll call…Are you friggin kidding me????, The Fish need to knock this sh*t off…sure outside of NYC, you have the largest NY population, but stealing Yankee Fans and players traditions, well I think this Coughlan deal is just a little NYC KARMA BABY!!!, we came here for the weather, stop your whinning about us, and SHUT YOUR PIE HOLES!!!LOL
Tell me these cards wouldn’t be better as Denny’s-style action holograms! Pie in the face demands action, not reflection (though with a shiny, moving hologram card, you would get both).
