I am a Phil’s fan, and I said the same thing, why would any one go to the Nationals a last place team, instead of taking a little less and be at the top of the division, Jayson Werth was just dumb thinking Washington will ever be good, and now with Cliff Lee, yeah he is pissed.
I’m pretty sure JaysonWerth knows the Nats won’t be any good for a while. He also knows that this was his last chance to cash in, and he did, in a big way. He already has a ring, so why not secure a financial future for the next so many generations of Werths… and who knows, in 3-6 years the Nats could be on top.
