OK, you get $40 to go to the card show with, you need $5 to walk through the door, now you’re at $35. Go find the best cards you can for that money! Here is what I got:
2008 Razor: Tanner Scheppers autograph #742/1499 ($2)
2008 Razor: Ethan Martin autograph ($1)
2008 Razor Letterman: Tanner Scheppers autograph patch ($3)
1950 Bowman Mart Marion card 88 ($6)
2005 Upper Deck Artifacts Al Kaline game worn jersey #321/325 ($5)
2005 Leaf Century Collection Willie McCovey game worn jersey #72/100 ($5)
2005 Donruss Fabrics of the Game Juan Marichal #95/100 ($3)
2008 Topps Triple Threads Bob Gibson game used jersey (3 pieces) #35/36 ($10)
Total: $35 Time there: 2 hours
I got the Martin and Scheppers cards because I had always wanted their autographs but never could get them back as TTMs. The other game used cards are the only ones I will ever buy from now on. Vintage jersey cards are a favorite of mine, and I lucked out with a vendor willing to strike a deal.
This was at the Raleigh Card Show which although small, had a lot of quality vendors. So if you are in the area pop on by. Although it is going to be the same weekend as the gun show so good luck finding parking.
How do you think I did?

Not a bad haul…
It always makes me a little bit sad to think about card companies cutting up vintage jerseys to make relic cards, though.
Great pick up of the Marion card! I would have been happy just to get that card.
They had tons and tons of 1948-1951 Bowman cards all at a fraction of book value.
