Well it was 11 months 3 days to be exact, but 11 months is close enough. So I wrote to Big Papi last year, sending him a custom card for him to sign and a few days ago i saw a Red Sox envelope in my mail box. Below is what was inside….

It’s cool that he sent something back, and if he wasnt going  to sign the card i sent him, at least he shot it back. Though i would have thought he might’ve  kept it, cause its cool and he would show people … “look what this crazy guy made for me to sign”.

Don’t send anything to the Red Sox. It doesn’t matter if its Spring Training or Fenway. It also doesn’t matter who it is. They send everything back with the same letter, small piece of paper, player post card, and your card(s).

Time for players to get HUMAN. Human-to-human, if someone asks you to sign a card, you just do it!

I know why he returned it instead of keeping it! You gave him a glove; we all know that Big Papi doesn’t play the field! He probably thought you had confused him with someone else. Ha!

Bill: I actually sent stuff TTM to Trot Nixon, Johnny Damon, and Mike Lowell and received all my cards signed. Yes it was a many years ago but I did have success! Never got back from Manny though!
