I’ve been looking around for high valued cards from the mid 80s to early 90s. One of the highest valued cards I could find is the 1991 Topps Chipper Jones rookie card. There are actually two versions that are worth some bucks. The first being the Tiffany version:

The Tiffany version of the card runs about $200 – $300 for a PSA 10, but the Desert Shield version is in a whole ‘nother stratosphere. The Desert Shield packs were issued to service men participating in Operation Desert Shield. It was only issued as wax boxes and occasionally a set pops up on eBay and it goes for insane money. Like $75000 insane. I’ve never seen a non-graded version of the Jones rookie card and the cheapest price I’ve seen one go for was about $1200 for a PSA 8.
So I guess in the end not all junk wax is junk wax. Do you have any Desert Shield cards? If so which one(s) do you have?
how do I know if mine is a Desert Shield card?
i have the complete set. i obtained it when deployed during desert shield and desert storm. It has never been graded.
