Bad Wax

I got home from work yesterday and went to the mailbox, figuring that the wax boxes would arrive.  Instead I found myself looking at two large packages of people I sent out cards / packs to.  The first package was from Jason in Georgia, it had 5 cards I needed for the Topps ‘52 set and a vintage Donruss MLB All Stars Pop-Up pack I believe from 1986.  I will open it later and do it as a review.  Thanks again Dave!

The second package came from Jeremiah from Oregon, to whom I’ve sent some cards and packs to. He hit me up with the mother load!  His blog is called Topps Traders and I read on there that this was coming and I couldn’t wait to get my grubby little hands all over these packs.  I decided that I will use these packs as filler between Operation Topps posts.

The Donruss packs are from 1988, 1989, and 1990, the Fleer Ultra is from 2006 and so is the Topps Opening Day.  I promise to send back any “hits” I get.

Thanks again guys I really appreciate getting all this in the mail in one day.  Kind of overwhelms me.  I wanted to do more to the blog last night (like get this post on there) but it was Tax Night.  Tonight will be no different since I have a homeowners meeting that is going to wipe out my night.  I’ll get one Operation Topps pack reviewed and if I have time another wierd pack I got out of a mixed sport blaster box.

Also I was curious if anyone has called and or placed an order with Sports Zone Cards, I am trying to see if my sponsorship with them will work.  Since she doesn’t have an ecommerce site, I thought it might be difficult, but we’ll see how it turns out.  Remember, she has the lowest prices I have seen in any hobbyshop in my area.  I hope you give her store a try.

I got a comment today about my post about the state of the industry. Fred is like most of us, he’s a child of the 80s and was lucky enough to collect in the industry heyday. Today he wrote a piece on his vision on where the industry should go. Please read his blog it’s a lot of fun.

My final email was from Tony at Busting Wax. He’s a busy guy with 3 blogs to post to, him busting wax site is a lot like mine except he actually gets some good cards (unlike me).
